the key points about virtual server infrastructure
Our virtual infrastructure allows you to grow, and is able to provide you with sufficient processing power at all times. One key advantage is that the 'burst-able' nature of ThinkGrid resources gives you access to significantly higher processor and memory levels than your plan allocations - the grid system works constantly in the background to make processing power available wherever it's required. Just like with a dedicated server, your resources are guaranteed but, unlike a dedicated server, you have much more power at your fingertips and can expand at any time.
Buy as a service
Purchase just like you would dedicated or managed hosting, but buy your resources as a service rather than a commodity.

Managed, patched and backed up
All virtual infrastructure includes management of the OS, including patching. You'll have responsibility for the configuration and the ability to easily manage this, but the core OS itself will be patched for you. We also ensure regular backups are taken, with snapshot technology allowing you point in time recovery. We don't charge extra for this, nor do we add on extra storage charges for the space required to store the backups - it's all included.
Scale resources up and down
Utilising our grid system, you can increase resources like RAM and CPU when you need them, on the fly, and then reduce them when you don't. Dynamic servers offer truly flexible computing that lets you take what you need and pay only for what you use - all controlled by you via a simple control panel.
No migrations
